In my opinion the upcoming social media (web 2.0) will generate the biggest turnover. We already have discussed the use of wiki's for quality management system documentation at this forum. Consider this: Who controls what work we do and how we do it? Traditionally, the corporations and managers — the gatekeepers of decisions and money and information. But what if your work was run like a social media site? Where business decisions, project decisions, pay and benefits and workplace environment decisions, were all made by the masses of the company? That’s hard to imagine in traditional companies. But consider that these days, many people are working remotely, as free-lancers or consultant. We already get valuable information from this forum. I have met many new interesting people through this forum, twitter, linkedin etc, had access to their knowledge, by which I have improved my competence. The new generations that will crowd our offices are so familiar with social media. They are less likely to want to work under the control of the gatekeepers. They understand the value of intercompagny networking. Why does a central person or group of people need to control all decisions? If the social network in the organization can share their knowledge and can democratize their work, this idea could have much more appeal than the traditional corporate structure.

The programs are designed to address different needs.

TQM is a holistic whole system approach to business systems that places intense focus on stakeholder needs and relationships.

Six Sigma is not a business system. It is a breakthrough improvement method.

EFQM appears to be similar to the U.S. based Baldrige award. Both are nonprofit organizations that support businesses who are using or transitioning to total quality systems.

Which is best is a question of your needs, your customers' needs, employees' needs, market dynamics, business and leadership culture, your goals and strategies, and what your organization is willing to invest - both in time and the honest introspection that TQM requires - and of course expectations.

I like your vision...
So in this case Quality would be really of all!!!
Many times standards seem to be so far from personnel in a Company and management does not really like them!!
I am very interested in your ideas, it could be interesting how to traslate into practice...
What if ISO 9001 should replace by another standard??

Hope this thread will have many responses...
thks to all!
