Your help is needed to apply ISO 26262 to a new project.

I have to perform documents relative to this standard (Safety plan, Safety Verification and Validation planning and plan etc.).
Could you subject me some templates explaining the content? More detailed than the iso?
Thanks in advance for your help

This is an automotive-specific standard...would it make sense to put this inquiry in the TS16949 section?

Hi Pinenboa,

we are quite experienced here with this draft standard, that has been published as DIS in July. To help you, I'd need a little more information, i.e. what kind of project you are executing ("item" or "part" development)? Have you or someone else done a preliminary safety analysis? Did you perform an ASIL determination? That kind of answers we'd need to guide you more concrete. If you want, you could contact us directly.

Best Regards, Olaf

Hi Olaf,

we are more and more pushed to aplly this standard in our development of ICs, but we do not have the understanding yet. Do you know a company that is helping to understand this standard ?
Thanks a lot for your help

Hello isabulg !

It's quite interesting to see questions like this. I'm guest member of the ISO 26262 international working group and especially I work in the sub-group related to part 5 (HW). My task is to interprete the ISO rules for Integrated Circuits such as ASICs, MCUs, FPGAs etc....

Are you still interested in that topic ? Which kind of IC are you developing ?

Best regards
Riccardo

I want to sincerely apologise to all for missing to answer you. It was due to the fact that I am very busy (overrun of my activities) but this is no excuse.

First sorry for my English, my excuse (even if not a real excuse) I am French.... so non-French people working with French people, in English, should understand my handicap. But also it is not a generality. So you would understand also that it is difficult to me to contact us directly, I could prefer contact you by e-mail please.

Seriously, I am working on electronically controlled suspension project at System and Hardware development level. I have already performed/executed a preliminary risk analysis. I have done a Safety analysis and perform an ASIL determination. With a colleague, we have trying to define safety goals and determine safety cases.
But now, I have to write a safety plan and it is very difficult without template even if the ISO gives us some indication, it's very confusing for me! I believed to find a support with Internet but this standard is very new and more complex. So please, could you give me your support on this specific document?
Thanks you a lot for your help and your comprehension.

Thanks you also to Stijloor for your document, it was interesting.
