According to this, the Reds will be playing the Washington Nationals at home in Cincinnati tonight. :tg:

Thanks Jim. I did say the "Mighty Reds", of which there is only one. Although with American ownership maybe they will start franchising off European Football to 3rd parties!!!!!!!!

Colpart, we don't need your support and I would not expect it either ! I am sure you are still a bit bitter about not comingaway from an FA cup final and a Champions League Semi without anything. I suppose the Premiership is a good consolation though!!!!

All I can say is that I hope we don't make such a pigs ear of it, as Man U did in the Semi Finals. I really thought it would be a Man U Liverpool final, but I have to say Man U were terrible in that 2nd leg against Milan.

Even though we keep winning big games on Penalties, (Pepe Reina is the spot kick saving legend), I still dread them, as it is such a lottery!!!!!

Still, I would take a win any which way it comes........

I hope my team (Santos - Pele´s old team) who just classified for the semi finals of the south american championship will be meeting AC Milan in the World Cup Team tournament and the end of the year in Tokyo.

I’m trying to be restrained here . . . but no I can’t do it, I just can’t do it!

According to Rafael Benitez you’ve had a successful season? Hold on a minute, your over 20 points off the table, so Liverpool are consistently off the pace, the only ‘cup’ you’ve won was the community shield which is just a friendly anyway. :applause:

Now I’m hearing talk of Liverpool signing Eto’o from Barcelona, they’re having a laugh :lmao: Why would he sign from Barcelona and come to Liverpool? He just wouldn’t do it, he just wouldn’t. :bonk:

Liverpool are way off the pace and always are, the only thing they do well (yet rarely win things) is in cup competition because they are a one off game team.

Don’t get me wrong, I want any team in the North West to win, I think its good for the area, but I cant stand the way Liverpool fans live off the history of the team, yet have done nothing to speak of in recent history apart from the win in 2005.

I remember the beginning of this season, everyone one was saying there’s 3 teams that could possibly win the league, Liverpool Chelsea & Arsenal. Hold up, wait, WHO won the league? Manchester United.:D

Ha!

Whoa, the wounds are still fresh and you are rubbing the salt in a bit too much!

Wednesday night, we out played AC Milan for much of the game, in fact I don't really think they had much in the way of chances, but the ones they did have they took (a little lucky with the first, but you need a little luck in football, that's how Man U and Chelsea normally do it). I can't fault that, we didn't take our chances and it cost us, so I admit we were beaten, but not by the best side.

You are right our form started off poorly away from home in the league at that cost us any chance of challenging for the title, but Benitez has admitted we may still be 2 years off acheiving that, which I tend to agree. We have the makings of a great side and we showed that by reaching the European Cup Final AGAIN!!!! You ask most teams, including Man U and Chelsea and see if reaching that is something they wouldn't take at the begining of any season. I admit we don't seem to be able to win it all.......but who can. Did Man U win the league, FA Cup, League cup and Champions League. Ummm Nope. Did Chelsea? I would be interested to know who thought Man U would not be in the running for the league? That seems like tosh. Of course they would be!

Liverpool will be great again, believe me, people only knock us for being proud of our history simply because no other English team can touch it! Even after the fact that we have not won the top flight division for 17 years!! We are proud of out past acheivements. Nothing to speak of recently? We haven't won the Premiership, granted, but we have won everything else. Man U's european record over their glory years hasen't sparkled (yes they won it once, but all other campaigns have been pretty poor).

We might not have the best team in the world (yet), but we have the best support base on the planet not to mention the best midfielder in the world IMO. Reds loud and proud.

:argue: Love it, love it I do!

As for Steven Gerrard, he is very very good agreed, and I would play him before Lampard any day. One thing though, if he had the balls :)2cents: ), he'd of gone to chelsea a couple of seasons ago!

The only reason he didnt is because he wimped out, not because he wanted to stay, by all accounts anyway.

Also, where was Steven Gerrard in against Milan? Probably the same place as Ronaldo against Chelsea in the FA Cup final, certainly not on the pitch!

Manix, do you think these foreigners understand and appreciate the banter between Scousers and Mancunians?

As for the salt, I’ll put it away :truce: . . . . . for now! ;)

My home town team is Sheffield United and my current local team is the Milton Keynes Dons. I'll bet that makes the pair of you jealous.:)

Next season, the Dons will have the best stadium in the second division, one of only 5 EUFA 4-star stadia in England.

The Champions league was a bit frustrating for an English neutral, 3 of our teams in the semi-final and the flaming Italians won it. You'll both have to do better next year 'cos my teams aren't going to help.:nopity:
