Capability Process refer to IATF

a bit more amplification of the above fine posts...the standing joke was, and there is some truth and value to this extreme example - if a PPAP'd/"approved" supplier changes the candy bar selection in the lunch room vending machine, the OEM/Customer should be consulted/advised BEFORE implementing said change. This relates to what was then called (in my company vernacular) a "Forever Requirement", once a stand alone data base, has since been folded into the Change Notice procedure...the upshot? What may see trivial to the Tier1/2 process or QA engineer may in fact be of consequence. A solid regular communication link with your OEM or customer Supplier Quality/ Mfg Eng is essential. A bunch of detail, that may be of value to you in the long run...

First I am a ‘Ma’am, not a sir ;)
Next machine includes fixtures and dies…anything that is part of the machine is included in Machine in the 4Ms.
Anything that effects the product is included the 5Ms: machine, man, measurement, material and mother nature (environment)

It’s good that you will be adding this to your procedure…it is hard enough to really understand some of these standards when they are written in your native language but it is even more difficult when a standard is written in a different language than your native language. It takes a lot of research and thinking to fully understand these standards…
Previously I would like to apologize, Ma'am, we will always try to meet these standards with extra effort....
Best regards :D
