EN 10204 Type 3.1 Material Cert

Hello All,
I hope for any advise or comment. Thanks in advance.
We encountered 1 customer who insists for us to submit material certificate (as part of PPAP submission) in accordance to EN 10204 type 3.1 standard.
We are certified under IATF16949, so I would like to know it is required under IATF16949 to submit material cert (mill cert) as according EN10204 type 3.1 ?

IATF is big on customer requirements... does that help
