I recently started with a newly AS9100 certified company that is expanding into AS+D. The company's current customer base does not require anything in the AS standard and are at a price point where it doesn't make economic sense to add in the AS requirements for them if they are not requiring a certified or even QMS compliance.
My question is can we identify, segregate customers and document in our system documentation that the AS9100 requirements are only applicable to customers that are identified in our ERP as AS+D customers? Has anyone done this? Pointers would be appreciated if you have.
