During the course of hazard identification, we came upon a clause in 60601 about gauze and electricity, stating the risk of fire.
Now, to identify the hazard in that situation, we had some discussion wether fire is a hazard in the context of 14971, being that it's not in the example table (E.1) of the current standard.
In my opinion, line voltage (as seen in E.1.) would be the hazard, and uncontrolled fire would be the hazardous situation, with various harms such as property damage, temperature, smoke, et cetera.
The hazard could also be "flammable substances", in this case the gauze.
