For medical gases and associated medical devices in Europe, the colour allocated to Vacuum e.g. as per EN ISO 5359:2008 is yellow (however odd it may seem, vacuum is treated as a gas). White is for Oxygen, Blue is for Nitrous Oxide etc. However, for France (as per their standard AFNOR NF S 90-116?) certain manufacturers seem to have green for vacuum (vide) ? i.e. it appears French specific. French based medical device manufacturers use the European yellow as well. I?ve not got a copy of the standard and my French is lousy anyway. Can somebody confirm that this the case i.e. that it (and what) is specified in this standard? I know in the US and Japan green is the colour for Oxygen.
