Renault Painting Defect Acceptance Criteria

There are a lot of debates with a painting supplier about claims for visual issues. I would like to help us and the supplier also.

I have seen for a different OEM a ruller with acceptance criteria
Can you please help me with Renault's acceptance criteria for painted parts?

I can't help with Renault specific requirements, but...

There are different types of visual paint defects as well as different types of painted parts.

Could you give us more information on what specific defect you are referring to?

I don't have Renault Standard off-hand. But your question reminds me of the days when my Supplier was trying hard to meet the required visual charateristics on Cast surface (can you imagine on cast surface). I was representing Renault Supplier Quality then and I remember we even measured Glossiness, paint thickness, etc on cast surface. We later switched over to electrostatic painting process and resolved the issue.

By the way, what acceptance criteria is the drawing referring to?

The painting is water based and the majority of claims are on spots, dots, scratches etc.
What I would like to know is the limits for each of these. Eg. No more than 3 dots on square cm.
