Suicide is so common, and so heartbreaking. He made so many of us laugh. Now.. we bow our heads in his sorrow.

Quite a bummer. Depression is something few people can relate to, especially to someone with a successful career.

Tragic...

His best roles, in my opinion, were the non-comedic ones.

I have a feeling that the outwardly warm and compassionate personalities, always with an ever-present underlying torment or sadness (e.g. "Dead Poets Society", "Good Will Hunting"), probably reflect his "true" personality more than the many goofy roles that defined much of his career...
