Standard used to determine if check fixture gauge is acceptable

Hey Team,

Got a question about calibrating check fixtures for automotive process. I am thinking that the normal is that the gauge is supposed to use on 10% of the tolerance allowed from the print and if it uses more, that it has to be signed off by management correct? Is there a standard that is connected to or is that just what most internal procedures use as normal? My apologies, but it has been a while since I was dealing with calibration on my own and cannot remember off the top of my head.

Verification to the math data (CAD). If I remember correctly, when I verified these years ago, we used a standard of 10% of the tolerance, but I was not sure if that was to a specific standard or internal procedure.
