What are typical Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL) adopted in Food industry?

Hi,

I am tasked to improve the Incoming Quality Control for a company manufacturing processed food. Can anyone tell me what are the commonly used AQL in the food industry sampling plan? I guess there are also different AQLs used for different categories of rejects e.g. health hazards like E. coli are judged differently compared to just blemished incoming products. 1. Instead of AQL you may want to consider using RQL plan. We have a spreadsheet here (courtesy of Bev).

2. For reference, you may want to refer to EC178 2010.

3. For food, you can't really have a fixed rule or figure like manufacturing - everything goes back to risk assessment and past experiences.
