New to the site. So much information. I work for a company who will be a first time AS9120 Certified. I have read the standard. What should we be expecting once we set forth into becoming certified?

Although the Standard says:
"It is not the intent of this International Standard to imply the need for:
− uniformity in the structure of different quality management systems;
− alignment of documentation to the clause structure of this International Standard;
− the use of the specific terminology of this International Standard within the organization."
You can bet the auditors will drive the conformity to standard stake through your heart.
it amazes me that no matter what the authors of these documents put on the table... Auditors and most customers will use the stake to make their job easier.
