FMEA for Laser Cutting of Die Cast parts in AM60B Magnesium

This is my very first post so please be gentle with me
The company that I work for produces high pressure die cast parts in AM60B Magnesium mainly for the automotive market.
Previously we have supplied parts that have been cast, trimmed and in some cases machined.
We are now at the begining of a new project where we are looking into the possibility of replacing the trim and machining of components with a CNC laser cutting machine.
As this process is new to ourselves and both potential laser suppliers that we are looking at we are really in need of some assistance in what potential failure modes need to be considered when cutting with laser's.
For example, Magnesium does become very flameable when the particles are small so some form of fire suppression system must be employed - our castings also have quite thin sections (approx 2 - 8mm).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
