Hello friends,

Any body knows what they mean by the following items in the APQP checklists:

A5 (Floor Plan Checklist)
- Impound area
- Staging area
- Are inspection points logically located to prevent shipment of NC products?

A7 (PFMEA checklist)
- where detection is the major factor, have provisions been made to control the cause prior to the next operation?

Thanks

Area of quarantine, place for nconforming material

Area for storage and movement between stations

The places that you inspect materials are placed in a logical manner so that material that does not conform will not be moved to the next station or the customer

A7 (PFMEA checklist)

If the major factor in the RPN is the problem of detection are the controls, inspections, testings used enough to prevent parts which are unconforming moving to the next station
