Plating standards - Where to find information

It looks like I might have to purchase the AMS 2417 Nickel plating standard. Currently this is at rev. J (09-2013). I have heard that standards get reviewed/revised every 5 years or so. I don't want to purchase if the standard is currently being revised or will be within the next few months.

Is there a website or information source that lists all the standards and when/if they are being updated/revised (and possibly when)?

I suggest contacting SAE and inquiring on the plans for reviewing and revising this standard.

I got this information from the SAE website an d it looks like they recently started to review it for revision. It take some time for it to be revised or it may be reaffirmed without any change.
