Friends,

We underwent the ISO 14001 (Upgradation to 2015 Version) and OHSAS 18001 (Surveillance) audit last year. We are scheduling now for the audit for this year. I am unaware that whether I need to review the IMS Manual before audit provided that there is no changes in the system and in the process or anything. Pls, guide.

Regards,
Sundar

A review of the manual? That depends. What do you do when you audit your IMS? Isn't your internal audit taking that into consideration?

Along with what Andy said and going further...What's your requirement for document review? If you've got a certified system in place you've got to have some kind of document review process so why would you want to do anything different than what has been blessed?

There is no requirement to review your manual before any audit. External audit should not be the input to review manual. As Andy said, internal audits will help you find out whether there are any changes required in the system. Accordingly a manual will need to be reviewed.
Additionally, why not review the manual at a certain frequency to incorporate anything missing?
