Recommendation for a suitable PA on a complaint received

I need some suggestion/recommendation for a PA on a complaint received.

On a Barrier technique which can be put in place so it will prevent the company from shipping items to overseas with proper configuration which was registered with their respective regulatory authority for marketing in their country
(Voltage, Frequency, Labelling etc).

Situation #1) If there was an error in sales team translation to manufacturing order in the Production order for a wrong specification (Voltage/Freq) , what control can be put in place to prevent the wrong spec being built although the product is getting built for the correct spec according to the purchase order.

Thoughts/suggestions/recommendation?

Thanks

Re: Recommendation for a suitable PA

Something akin to contract review applied to your sales orders might do the trick.

Since you have received a complaint, it's technically not a preventive action, it's part of corrective action - the process let an "escape" of something important to the customer. If you think of reviews and inspections and checks as like slices of Swiss cheese with holes, sometimes all the holes line up and something gets through!

Part of the corrective action is to take a look at these checks and compare them with what "escaped" and see - working with the people concerned - to see what can be done to fill the hole!
