DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement) Raw Material Information

I'm new to this forum & I might be posting this in the wrong section but I'll give it a try.

If our customer is requiring dfars compliant material & we purchase from a raw material supplier, should there be a dfars statement on the certification or is a a country of origin or melt enough?

I have always been able to use the country of Melt. One suggestion, I would periodically review the government website to make sure it has not been updated. It seems something changes about once every 6 months.

Help with understanding DFARS 252.225-7001 Buy American Act. Hopefully someone can. We are a CM for printed circuit board assemblies. We purchase our fabs from a supplier, who purchases its pcb base materials from Taiwan. 1) Can the base materials from Taiwan be considered COTS, which then would exempt it? 2) Our fab supplier manufactures the pcb in the U.S., is that sufficient to say the fabs as end product is domestic?

Many/ most fab houses purchase base materials from overseas. Help! We are compliant to DFARS 252.225-7001??
