I recently started working at a company that manufactures mostly aftermarket products, but we do have some service parts for OEM, for those we do have a PPAP package submission and approval.
As for the suppliers of the components destined for aftermarket products, we currently do not require these suppliers to submit a PPAP package, we only approve thought a sample evaluation. Also these suppliers are almost all ISO9000 certified, and have worked with the company for over 30years, so its very unlikely they will agree to submit a PPAP package. Does anyone know if this could be a non conformity during an IATF audit?
