ANOVA - 2 factors with different levels

B

Hi guys, it's nice to find a good forum for Minitab.

Since I'm new to Minitab, please forgive my ignorance! I need to run ANOVA on minitab on several results I obtained. I have 2 factors A and B with 2 and 5 levels respectively and 5 replicates for each one (i.e. 2*5*5=50 numbers) and the response is one (i.e. cost - C). Could you please guide me through for a way of modeling this and how should I get results (significance) for my problem?

I'm open to any information you need! Thanx a lot in advance, I'm looking forward to a reply!

As long as the factors are in seperate columns then it should be quite quick to run.
In the stat menu, go to ANOVA, and then select General linear model.

Put C as the response.
Where it asks for factors enter.
A B A*B
That will run the model looking at A, B and the interaction between the two. (note A|B works the same as above).

The session window will then contain the ANOVA table.

If any of those factors are random factors you must define them in the random factor part of the dialogue as well as in the factors box.

You're great man...thanx a lot!!

I'll try to check and explain the results and maybe I'll be back with further questions regarding the analysis of the results !!

Thanx again...take care!!
