Determination of Test Cycles of Dynamic Forces (IEC 60601)

Hi cove,

There is no definition of test cycle of dynamic forces stated in clause 9.8.3.3 of IEC 60601-1:2012. Well, how to determin the test cycle ? which may be effect the test result of the product.

I find IEC 60601-2-52 (medical bed) clause 201.9.8.3.3 do well. It specified the test cycle is 10000times. But the device is not a medical bed.

So, how to deal with this situation in IEC 60601-1:2012???
Can i use the life time of the device to decide the test cycle??

If the number of cycles is not specified in the standard, than the test only needs to be performed one time unless your risk management process dictates otherwise.
