Firmware version in EMC report / DoC

Dear Forum,

do you know if the firmware version of a device under test needs to be documented in the EMC test report? My opinion is yes.
Or is this only required for R&TTE?
I have also seen a Declaration of Conformity mentioning the firmware. Under which conditions this is necessary?

Generally I don't provide Firmware number to go in the test report, but I would document all relevant build information in the manufacturer's Technical File.
For R&TTE, I would typically list it in the RF report.

Firmware can be very relevant under the R&TTE directive for Software Defined Radios which is why you may see it listed on the DoC and in those test reports.
