IATF Certification Body Recommendations

Our 3 year audit cycle has come to an end and I haven't been overly happy with our current certification body. My main concerns include issues with communication outside of the audits (poor responsiveness), and a lack of value added during the audits after going through a revolving door of 5 auditors over the last 5 years (2 years of ISO 9001 and 3 years of IATF).

Can anyone recommend a CB with whom they've had good experiences? I'd like to shop around a little before my next 3 year cycle begins.

Where is your organization based? Do they only have to certify you to 9001 and 16949?

We're in the US. Yes, just ISO 9001 and IATF.

I asked this same question in a professional peer group of which I am a member. I found that what one person recommended another had issue with. I think you need to set up interviews with several and make your own decision based on your findings.
