Does one use Clauce 7.4.4 (a - g) as a basis to determine whether a control is a CCP or and OPRP.

My thoughts are that a - g in clause 7.4.4 is used to select the appropriate controls, and once we have the controls we then need to determine if it is an CCP or OPRP using an appropriate methodology.

If you are referring to the flow, it is but in my opinion not just 7.4.4 alone but include the few steps before it. If you have ISO 22004 (Guidance on the application of ISO 22000) check the relevant section for more details. Attached is a capture of the planning flowchart.
