*in many processes ; we are processing the required induction automatic welds , therefore centralizing whole assembled part for the reducing & surface finishing ; specially when the wall thickness is thin ;
**the capability of friction welding to withstand the finishing should be study by design process owner

Based on everything mentioned here with your current tooling and setup. I would say the company will have to invest into the process. They require accurate variable data which using your current methods, doesn't pacify management. Can you do a comparative study using a piece (preferably multiple) is inspected by vision machine and then cross reference with DTI data with backstop? If the data is a close match from vision to manual they will have to accept it. Sorry, I can't come up with any other solutions
