PSW approval process for production

Please help me to clarify, PSW approval process. Does it mean approval for shipments of products or production starting? If the products meets all requirements, than I can start the production, but I can't ship this parts without customer approval psw sign. Is it correct?

That is correct, you need to have a signed PSW. We sometimes receive an email from our customer authorizing us to ship parts to their facility as we wait for the signed PSW to go through their channels.
