That has long been in decline too. Although I must admit, there are still a few idiots!


What I found interesting about the BBC article, apart from the 'experts' opinions on why, was the terrific continued decline during the worldwide recession. Quite impressive, I thought.

I wondered if any Covers had an opinion on the cause of the continued decline, or if a particular view in the article was supported by ‘ordinary’ Americans.

Useless "study". You can't take a country of 360 million people and lump all crimes into a single chart. Everything from lead to video games to abortion has an affect on the crime rate per the experts.

I think if you check it the data is for 'Murder and Robbery rates only' sourced from the FBI. So not all crimes are in the chart.:read:
