we completed our iso 9001:2008 audit yesterday with only 4 minors, yay.

the auditor mentioned that since we were audited against a new std, that our procedures should all revert to Rev 1.

does the same hold true for forms, flow diagrams, cad dwgs...etc.

i didnt realize to ask until i commenced on addressing his ncrs.

thanks,

GD

I am not sure where the standard specifies this as a requirement. Your procedures are your procedures, not the standard's. To wipe out the change history of a document without renumbering the document makes no sense.

I think this requires the old "show me in the standard where this is required" approach. If it is not in there, it is not required.

:mg: Did you leave your auditor to long outside in the winter cold?

Was this a observation, NC or just a comment made during a lunch break? There is no mention anywhere in the standard that you need / should do this!

Congrats on the result of the audit !!!!

it was not and NCR or an observation, the comment was made casually while reviewing the table of amendments

I have NEVER heard of such a thing before, nonconformance or not. I would have some serious doubts about your auditor.

life as we know it begins and ends with a new ISO 9001 revision?:mg:

Frankly, and I do try not to be quite so judgemental as a general rule, that is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard in conjunction with a QMS.

Though it was a casual remark ....seriously consider working with a better certifying body for your system maturity and value addition of the audit process................

I will say every registrar has at least one 'quirky' auditor, so a change of auditor may be the answer. I'd never condemn a registrar based upon the experience with one auditor.

Where do these folks end with their comments? What the hill are they smoking when they dream up this type of thing? Oh, my, gosh! Here we are in 2008 (nearly 2009) and still we get just plain dumb comments from people who should know better...........

If it's my CB this person works for, please let me know, asap, so we can do some containment!

At least it's a new one for my ISO Joke book...........!!:lmao:
