Has anyone experienced during their periodical audit that the RAB Auditor is putting more emphasis on training than previous audits?

For clarification, who do you mean by RAB Auditor?

Was the focus on training or competency?

Training specifically and signed training records. I have not noticed any changes to Clause 6.2.2.

Change of auditor? Sometimes the CB gets a "ding" during a witnessed audit and it rolls down to all auditors...

They shouldn't be focused on training, per se. It should be competency first, then what actions you took, which might include training (unless your procedure/process says something different, of course)

In addition, the auditor might see an area where you can improve. So long as "best practice" and "requirement" are kept separate, the auditor may just be trying to raise the bar to help your organization improve.

For ours it was not an emphasis on training so much as an emphasis on how we ensure competency of the trained individuals as time elapses.

How do you know the person who was trained on the visual inspection of Part A 10 years ago can still see with adequate detail now that their vision has changed?
