Today is a long-awaited day. I will graduate with a double Masters: Human Resources and Organizational Leadership. Be afraid, very afraid! :naughty:

Next up: pass the SSBB exam in October.

After that: I think I will write another book, maybe this one will get published. I think I will call it "When First Comes Last...Why Leaders Fail at Human Performance, and What To Do About It"

You may have noticed I've been in a funk for the past month or so. While driving to work on Thursday I understood in a flash why I felt so bad. In a single term "Corporate Anorexia" I diagnosed what was going on, and was able to depersonalize my feelings. In other words, I shed the urge to blame my boss.

If I get published I may be able to make money off my passion for the human side of Quality. It may stop being a hobby! :D

Thanks to everyone for being so nice to me and for supporting me during this difficult time. :thanks:

Covegratulations! More so for a working mum.
Thank you. I went slower when my kids were younger, but now my youngest is 19 and preparing to join the Air Force. I think it was healthy for him to see me at the kitchen table studying statistics so many weekends. At almost 50, learning seems to never be done and my message is that's okay. I hope it sinks in, helps to instill a work ethic. He didn't do well in high school, but while spending three years as a teachers aide I observed can understand why kids struggle with the human manufacturing plant that schools have become.

With my daughter, who will be 23 next month, the lesson was about the payback in working all week and studying all weekend for years. I have my degrees and not a dime of debt.

"When First Comes Last..." by J.Kirley, MS (or is it MA, or MBA?). Either way, it has a nice ring to it. On my reading list now.

Congratulations from me as well. Few people really keep up, much less continue on with advanced degrees. Well done, and "Keep on Truckin'"!
