Hey guys total QC newbie here. But what kind of systems or controls would i be able to implement or use to ensure the products i deliver maintain a high level of quality besides regular audits of my MFG?

Perhaps you might like to consider how well is your management system/s functioning that delivers or impacts on the results of your MFG.
Do you have some objectives for your management systems in terms of what you want from them. For example, do you want all business documents to be controlled or only those which directly impact on the widgets you make?
Do you collect data from the system to measure how will its functioning and achieving the objectives. Do you compare the results of how well your systems are functioning to how many unwanted events are happening.
Do you collect and analyse intelligence from your customers as to how you stand with your target customer base?
How much rework or waste is generated from your operations , how many time do things have to be done twice etc.
Audits are just one way of gauging how well your MFG is functioning.
