2. What the primary role?
3. Can this be use for initial contractual job to give consultancy to industries?

ISO 45001 - Occupational health and safety management systems

2. What the primary role?

1 - ensuring that the OH&S management system conforms to the requirements of ISO 45001.
2 - reporting on the performance of the OH&S management systems to Top Management.

3. Can this be use for initial contractual job to give consultancy to industries?

Hi !

Simonyeeklang, please note that the ISO 45001 standard does not define the role of an OHS coordinator but proposes an OHS management system model to the top management of an organization... In ISO 45001 there is no requirement for an OSH "Coordinator".

Yes, you can consider the role of an OH&S coordinator as a care taker of system. But the accountability lies with the top management.

Hi !

"Take care to OSH" (Simoneeklang) is not the same role as "take care to OSH-MS" (Amit Ballal)... In ISO 45001, take care OSH is the role of top management as shown in article 5.1. And if you want you can consider that a) + b) missions of article 5.3 constitute role to care OSH-MS. And you can call "OSH-MS coordinator" (or another name) the person to whom these missions a) and b) are assigned by top management ...

But yes at least top management is the real person in charge to take care OSH of its personnel (by using in particular his OSH-MS).
