Subject: Q: Band Lengths on CMM /Shibley
We had a curious question brought to us the other day, the question was about our band width on our CMM. We believe it is . 0005." How ever being in a metal stamping environment, the question was "How does band width relate to accuracy"? I am afraid that I did not have the answer. For Calibration needs and the accuracy of collected data how important is "Band Width" and how does that relate to the question of shortening or lengthening the width itself?
