Controlling the records of suppliers - AS9100 Rev B Clause 4.2.4

4.2.4, AS9100 Rev B. states that; "The documented procedure shall define the method for controlling records that are created by and/or retained by suppliers." Anyone have any practical examples of what is meant by this requirement? Anyone have an example of how this was documented?

Hi,

The easiest way to conform to this requirement is to have a clause in your PO that indicates the record retention and other requirements the supplier must agree to.

Some companies ask their suppliers to sign and ackonowledge theses clauses.
