Document Control on Log Files

I have an electronic log file that is filled out for parts being ordered. The log (just an excel sheet) is in the latest template and every time someone enters new information that need a password to access the document, they add their information and save it. It can only be changed by people who have the password.

Would you consider it controlled?

Is there anything that forces the person to save the information, or is this a feature of Excel?

They would have to explicitly decline to save when exiting - and periodically anything in Office365 autosaves

I trust Office365 autosave as much as I do a politician.....Make it a manual..."No closing until saved"

Some organizations still keep a control of documented information procedure. Read yours and make sure the spreadsheet breaks no rules.

If it does, correct the spreadsheet or consider changing the rules.
