When making tags for master samples or red rabbits for identification do these tags need to have the document number and revision levels on each tag? These tags do not give any direction they just state a description of what the part (master sample tags) and what items the part is used for to verify (red rabbit samples)

Some of my labels have document and revision numbers on them because the required information is critical to another process, so the template is controlled.

We tag the parts with part number, revision and date of the ppap.

I used to put "red rabbit" or what we called trip parts in the calibration system, to be routinely verified, and labeled as such.
