SAC - Semiconductor Assembly Council

Hi Everyone,

What is a SAC (Semiconductor Assembly Council) Audit? What does it do with ISO9001:2000, ISO9004:2000 and TS16949?

If one would undergo certification for this kind of audit, is the company should undergo ISO9001:2000, and TS16949? Since, this SAC audit is based on the ISO 9001:2000 and TS16949.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

This may be the result of the demise of QS-9000. You may be aware that QS-9000 had several 'supplements', such as the semi-conductor suppliment.

I don't really know anything about the group, however.
