ISO 9001 and AS 9100 Registrations - AS9100 applicability to a software company

Hello,
We currently are ISO 9001:2000 certified. We have an SIC code of 7372. We have customers that are looking for AS 9100 certification. My registrar does not have any customer that has a SIC code of 7372 and AS 9100 certification. Is anyone else out there a software company that has both ISO 9001:2000 and AS 9100 (aerospace)? I don't believe it is applicable but I wanted to see.

I think odds are better that we will get a response in the AS9100 forum so I moved your thread.

We (the company I work for) are both ISO and AS certified and we develop (embedded) software for our products. I am not sure what our sic code(s) are off the top of my head.

I will wait and see what else comes up before I start with questions. Our software is not an embedded software. Our registrar looked up and could not find any customers with that SIC 7372 (prepackaged software) that was certified in both ISO 9001 and AS/EN 9100.

If you are ready to spend some time, you can visit OASIS site and individually check the scope of cetification.Sure some will match with yours.Only certification scope you can get but not the SIC code.
