ESD flooring - The difference between tile and epoxy floors

If both are conductive, what's the difference between tile and epoxy floors, besides cost.

Re: ESD flooring

Epoxy could chip out. Tiles are a little easier on the feet. We have interlocking tiles for our ESD floor in the Fabrication/ESD area. Used to have ESD carpet tiles, but what a PIA to install. You needed double-sided adhesive underlayment sheets with copper striping. Also, hard to keep clean and good luck finding small parts dropped, like tiny screws and washers.

Our tiles now are more like regular flooring tiles, but much thicker, interlock with only a rubber mallet and require no foundation or underlayment.

Unlike epoxy, fully removable.

Do you know what kind of tile these are, (manufacturer)? static worx has a good web page.

These: https://staticstop.com/products/freestyle-esd-interlocking-conductive-floor-tiles

The black edges go under the adjacent tile. In the end, the floor looks like regular tile--no interlocking tabs are showing like other styles. They have trim for the exposed edges where the tile stops. Looks good when done.
Cleans and waxes like tile, but you use a special cleaner and wax--of course!
