Expiration Date of ASQ AS9100D certificate

Too bad, I didn't want this to turn into a contest of what is a certification and what isn't. I just simply wanted to know the expiration date of my certificate.
Can we play nice again? I'm sincerely sorry for the misunderstanding and the direction it took.

I apologize for the previous writings as I obviously am not as educated or experienced as those of you who responded. Maybe a more appropriate response from two of you would have been to educate me with the terminology and what that piece of paper really means as opposed to making me feel foolish and giving me your resume and frankly what felt more like chastising me because I'm not as experienced as you. A different approach would have been nice as a response such as defining what this piece of paper I received and my actual question about if it has an expiration date.
I prefer to lift each other up and educate - not what happened in the above posts.
It's Monday so maybe that's it.....

You have successfully ignored the information provided by some of the forum's most knowledgeable members and pissed and moaned when you didn't get a reply in a few minutes. All the education and experience in the world ain't gonna help you if you don't adjust your attitide. JMO.

Do you see an expiration on your piece of paper? No? Then it doesn't expire.

Your ISO auditor is looking for an easy way to determine your competence and if he thinks this piece of paper is the answer, I question his competence. You could be a fine (or crappy) internal lead auditor with or without this certificate.

To answer the question asked: The lead auditor training certificate 'technically' never expires. It might not be as useful after Revision D of AS9100 is finished (or ISO9001:2015). Also, The lead auditor training certificate is not the only way to be qualified as an auditor. Qualification to be an internal auditor should be defined by companies internal procedures, policy, statement or what ever other word(s) your company uses to define things. Per 9.2.2c "select auditors and conduct audits to ensure objectivity and the impartiality of the audit process;", of coarse 7.2 must be adhered to.

I didn't ignore the provided information; read and comprehended it all. The information given did not answer my query is all, however, you (Mike S.) did - thank you!
In addition, one could be a crappy internal lead auditor regardless of a course taken and a "certified" CB auditor can be a crappy one as well. A course or certification does not necessarily make a good auditor.
