Stab Pin Size For Check Gage

I'm trying to figure out what size Stab Pins should be for a check fixture because i believe they're doing it wrong here(newish job). I was looking at a gage today and the stab pins were very tight on the master part. So i wanted to investigate and found the pin they're using is .298 in size. The hole size is .310 +/- .005 with Position at 0.025(M).
The way i calculate it would be
.310 - .005 = .305
Then
.305 - .025 = .28

Is this correct?
I know its not a major difference but still could fail a good part.

Thanks,

  • Is this for a single hole or a pattern of holes?
  • Are any of the datum marked MMC?
  • Are the datums being located RFS in the fixture?
