Every standard talks about verification of characteristics results with drawing requirements, but can someone advice with the help of AS9100 do we required to write down all the results for all characteristics?
We make non-flight hardware (tooling and ground support equipment) - our customers only want us to report actuals to them for critical dimensions. All other non-critical dimensions are covered by a statement in our Tooling Inspection Report that all non-critical dimensions were verified and in tolerance. Our customer defines "critical", as they are often different.
We verify using the drawing. When we do Setup inspections (and in process inspection), we record the actual dimension on the drawing. We have added additional requirements for our inspectors to review that are not specifically on the drawing and these also get written on the drawing itself. We then scan the drawing into our system. The operators are required to measure the parts as they make them, but are not required to record the dimension unless specific requirements require it.

Is your question, do you have to 100% document every dimension on every part? If so, no.
Edit: To the point others are making, yes it could be possible that certain characteristics might become 100% documented. Depends on the actual situation.

Along the lines of what Cari Spears mentioned, typically, key characteristics (a subset of critical items) have to have the actual result recorded because variation is something that is concerning as well.
So, if you have key characteristics identified in the design, actual readings will have to be recorded.
