I was mainly in Kurashiki, near Okayama, but was able to visit from Hiroshima to Tokyo. I was in Kobe the week before the big earthquake. I really enjoyed my time there and loved most of the food. I had to draw the line at odori. Sashimi is one thing, but at least it is not still moving.I grew up there as a kid from 61-65 (6th to 9th grade) and mine has gotten a bit rusty. (Okinawa actually)
