On August 27, 2025, ISO published the Draft International Standard (DIS) of the ISO 9001 International Standard, the globally recognized benchmark for Quality Management Systems (QMS).
At this stage, the text is submitted for review and comments by all national ISO member bodies, as part of the international public consultation that precedes the publication of the final version.
This review is an essential step towards the next edition of ISO 9001, whose publication is scheduled for September 2026, replacing the current ISO 9001:2015. The next phase of the process, corresponding to ISO/FDIS 9001 (Final Draft International Standard), should take place in early 2026.
