Since 1987 we haven't seen any quality system managed by quality manager obtain the goals of zero defect.
Could be different for a quality system driven by an accountant.........................................
I would like to suggest a priest or an analyst like quality represe ntative.
Or even better the magican Merlin.

When we say zero defects are we really talking about defects as defined by ISO 9000?

Product defects can kill you.

Or do we really mean zero nonconformity? In other words, fulfilling all the requirements including those unrelated to an intended or specified use.

Most products I buy fulfill my intended and specified requirements; they come with zero defects.

Our Accountant MR may have no knowledge of our sloppy quality jargon. He or she should be encouraged to study the terminology in ISO 9000 and use it correctly.
